Prize Payout Update

Starting with the tipster competition in January 2013 we will be increasing the prize fund to a £300 total prize pool.  This amazing new prize pool will be paid in cash to your Skrill account! All that we ask is that you sign up through any bookmaker on our site and deposit a minimum of £10 (Often, depositing more will get you a better bonus with the bookmaker).

The prizes will be as follows:

1st: £120
2nd: £70
3rd: £40
4th - 10th: £10

We will update the rules with the finer details once the competition starts, however, if you cannot sign up to any of the bookmakers advertised then please drop us an email with others you can sign up to and we will get accounts created. Competition Rules Update

We have been been carefully monitoring how the limit of 25 bets affects the betting patterns and in particular the ability for people to bet on lots and lots of long shots in the hope of getting lucky. We have stated before we are not keen on forcing people to make a certain amount of wins or forcing them to only allow a certain amount of draws as it goes against it being a genuine bookmaker based competition.

We have decided that we are going to lower the daily bets to 15 as this is still a massive 105 bets a week if you bet every day, however, it should make people think more carefully about their bets. It also helps to stop people coming back through purely luck in the last days of the competition through "lottery" bets.

On Sunday 11th November, we will be making a slight change to the tipster competition rules.  You will only be allowed to make up to 25 bets per calendar day. We are adding this in so that there is more incentive for people to make careful picks rather than mass random bets. It also means people will visit the site more and this will help with some of the community features we have planned for the future.

We will adjust this figure up or down depending on how it goes and feedback, however I can't see it needing to go up, but we shall see. The good news is you won't be expected to count your bets yourself and then be banned if you go over :-) We are adding a bar into your detailed tipster competition statistics to let you know where you stand for the current day.
